Who Is Joffrey Lonmouth and How Is He Related To Laenor Velaryon In House Of The Dragon?

Joffrey Lonmouth is rumored to be the lover of Ser Laenor Velaryon, the heir to Driftmark. 

Lonmouth is well known as the Knight of Kisses in the drama House of Dragon. He was a Knight from House Lommouth during the period of King Viserys I Targaryen. In the television transformation House of the Dragon, the role of Joffrey had played by actor Solley McLeod.

Joffery had been suspected as the love of the Laenor in the series. The heir of Driftmark and the character had a good connection, which made viewers doubt their relationship.  

Who Is Joffrey Lonmouth?

Lonmouth was a member of a warrior, a knight in the series House of the Dragon. He was a warrior tradition where he wore heavily threaded in the feudal culture of the Seven Kingdoms. 

Lonmouth occupies a social place between Lords and smallfolk. He was named The Knight of Kisses in the series. Also, the Knights are titled Ser, associated with the Faith of the Seven.

Lonmouth is the allegiance of a noble house from storm lands House Lonmounth. He had sworn to the Great Houses of Westeros House Baratheon. The character follows one of the constituent regions of the seven kingdoms, Stormlands on the continent of Westeros. 

 King Viserys finds that there is a White Hart in the woods hunting in Kingswood in the third episode.

Lonmouth is the favorite Kight of the Laenor Velaryon. Besides this, the knight is the Champion. On the Laenor's marriage with princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Joffrey was the Champion to lead in the tournament Tourney. In the popular championship in the Seven Kingdoms, Ser Harwin Strong rode for Rhaenyra. 

During the game, Ser Criston Cole battled him with a morningstar. As a result, Lonmouth cracked his helm. Also, in the incident, the character died without recovering consciousness for six days. Nonetheless, Laenor didn't leave his knight until his death.

Laenor stayed by his side and cried at his demise. Afterward, Ser Laenor desired to name Jacaerys his first son his name. His father, Lord Corlys Velaryon, overruled him and named him otherwise. Later, he named his third son Joffrey. 

Previously, fans were curious about the relationship between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daenerys. Targaryen was the first child of King Viserys I Targaryan and Aemma Aryan, and Danerys was the distant aunt of the princess.

  1. Lonmouth's other name was The Knight of Kisses, and he was titled Ser. He was part of Stormlander culture and allegiance of House Lonmouth. 
  2. Lonmouth was born in or before 99 AC. In 114 AC, he died in King's Landing during the tournament where Criston Cole attacked him. 
  3. Lonmouth had mentioned in The World of Ice & Fire, Fore & Blood, and The Rouge Prince. 
  4. Lonmouth's character had portrayed by Solly McLeod in the television series House of the Dragon in season 1. 
  5. Lonmouth and the child of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Ser Laenor Velaryon, were supposed to be the lover in the series.
