Konerak Sinthasomphone was the younger brother of Anouke Sinthasomphone. He was mercilessly attacked by the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in 1991.

The new Netflix series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, explores the story of one of the most notorious serial killers in the United States. It was released on September 21, 2022.

Where Is Konerak Sinthasomphone Brother Anouke Sinthasomphone Now?

Konerak Sinthasomphone brother Anouke Sinthasomphone came out to the media after he and his brother were attacked by Jeffrey Dahmer. On May 27, 1991, the 14-year-old was invited to Dahmer's flat to pose for photographs.

Dahmer took the boy's photos, who was only wearing his underpants, and later gave him drugs. Dahmer then drilled a hole in the boy's skull and injected hydrochloric acid into his frontal lobe.

He stayed for some time beside the unconscious Sintasomphone while drinking. And after some time, he reportedly left the residence while searching for more alcohol.

When he returned to his flat, he found Sinthasomphone without his clothes waiting outside on the streets, surrounded by three confused women. The women Sandra Smith, Tina Spivey, and Nicole Childress had called 911 after seeing the boy.

Officers Gabrish and Balcerzak saw Dahmer standing next to Sinthasomphone when they arrived on the scene. When asked about the situation, Dhamer told them the boy was his 19-year-old boyfriend who was in that state because he was drunk.

Although one of the women tried to intervene as she had seen the injuries on the boy, the officers let Dahmer take the boy inside his apartment, citing that it was a domestic matter. Jeffrey injected some more hydrochloric acid into Konerak's skull. His body was dismembered, and the head was retained in the freezer.

The family had come across the serial killer not only once but twice. One of Konerak's brothers, Somsack Sinthasomphone, was attacked by Jeffrey less than two years before his murder.

Anouke Sinthasomphone was 27 years old at that time. His father is Sounthone, whereas his mother is Somdy. The family had five sons and three daughters. After Konerak's demise, there are four sons in the family.

They had come to the U.S. after feeling Laos in March 1979 because the communists threatened to take away their rice farm in a village near the Laotian capital of Vientiane.

The older children were already used to the American culture and even spoke fluent English. Some of the family's eldest kids used to work as welders, machinists, or assembly line workers by that time, as mentioned in N.Y. Times.

Anouke had spoken to the media then, but his whereabouts in the present is unknown. He may be in his 50s now.
