Dick Ebersol Is Wife Susan Saint James's Third Husband

It was a whirlwind affair that swiftly developed into a lifetime of dedication when Susan and Dick first met in 1981 when the actress began hosting "Saturday Night Live." The couple was married just six weeks after their first encounter.

Although Susan is an Emmy-winning actress, Dick is the head of NBC Sports and a co-creator of "Saturday Night Live," so this wasn't Susan's first time walking down the aisle.

In 1981, James married Ebersol, when both of them were in their thirties. He was a TV star who joined NBC at age 28 and is now the youngest vice president in company history.

He currently lives in a mansion in Brentwood, California, which is now rented out, along with apartments in Manhattan and Litchfield. "Dick has the most conservative background, yet there's a little Caesars Palace in him," his wife once said.

Dick and Susan had a fulfilling union. When the couple made the decision to have children of their own, their family grew quickly.

Three sons, Charlie, Willie, and Edward "Teddy," were born to the couple, expanding their family.

Her Second Husband Thomas Lucas

In 1971, she wed makeup artist Thomas Lucas who was her second husband at the time. Sunshine Lucas, a daughter, was born in 1972, and Harmony Lucas, a son, in their family (born 1974). The six-year marriage came to an end.

When she was 24, she married Tom Lucas, a makeup artist for "Name of the Game,".

They eventually split, although she later admitted that she still thought of him as "fun and amazing." James had previously sacked him as manager but kept him as a spouse.

After that, the actress had a few relationships, including the stars Dennis Christopher and George Hamilton, who she thought were amazing and that she was still in touch with.

Her First Husband Richard Neubert

Richard Neubert and Susan Saint James were legally separated in 1968, one year after their wedding.

James has been married three times and is a eager for love. The now 75-year-first old's marriage, to screenwriter Richard Neubert, took place when she was 20 years old.

Their union lasted only a year until they split over differences in their respective careers. She did, however, acknowledge that they got together for some time in March 1983.

Therefore, Richard is Susan's first spouse, with whom she was married for a year after a brief relationship. They did not have any children from that marriage.

It's possible that their working environments and personalities didn't mesh because Susan needed to be very focused on her acting profession.

How Many Children Do They Have?

Susan Saint James has a total of five children with her three husbands, namely, Edward Ebersol, Sunshine Lucas, Charlie Ebersol, Harmony Lucas, and Willie Ebersol.

Edward Ebersol, Charlie Ebersol and Willie Ebersol are the children with husband Dick Ebersol whereas Sunshine Lucas and Harmony Lucas are the children with her second husband Thomas Lucas.

Her Son Edward (Teddy) Ebersol and Family Tragedy

Thanksgiving 2004 was decided upon by Susan's family to be spent together in California. So Teddy and Charlie, along with Susan and Dick, hopped on a private plane.

While the rest of the family was to travel to the east, Susan was dropped off at a little airport in Colorado. But Dick and his sons' fate was different.

The jet crashed into the ground shortly after takeoff, traveling at a speed of over 100 mph before coming to a stop near the edge of a 60-foot precipice.

Charlie started to hunt for his father and brother as soon as the jet landed. He immediately tried to pull Dick out after spotting his hair poking out of a pile of debris. Susan lost his son Teddy in that collision. The following year, on the anniversary of Teddy's passing, the family gathered. They all anticipated a very gloomy period, yet on that particular day, they felt nothing but love.
