Criston Cole, a ser knight in the series House of Dragon, and Game of Thrones characters Beric Dondarrion and Oberyn Martel had similar cultures and ethics. 

Cole is the Knight of House Cole, and he is part of Viserys I Targaryen's Kingsguard after the insistence of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. The series shows the connection between the princess and Knight on the series. 

Moreover, Criston falls in love with the Queen of the Targaryen dynasty, Rhaenyra, and has an intimate relationship with her. However, they don't have any children from their relationship. Dondarrion is a young lord who enjoys the life of a Knight. The lord even took part in tourneys. He was born at Blackhaven and met his demise at Winterfall at 305 AC. Also, he was stabbed numerous times by eights during the Battle of Winterfell.

Similarities Between House Of Dragon Criston Cole And Game Of Throne Beric Dondarrion

  • Cole and Dondarrion followed the same culture, Andals ( a race of men of Westeros six thousand years). They followed the common tongue language. 
  • Dondarrion and Cole were born at Balckhaven. However, the lord of Blackhaven is deceased, and Cole is still alive in the series. 
  • Cole followed the main religion of the Seven Kingdoms, Faith of Seven or New Gods. Dondarrion had raised in the religion Faith of Seven but later changed into Lord of Light or R'hllor. 
  • Dondarrion is the Lord of Balckhaven, and Cole's father was the Steward of Balckhaven.

Criston Cole's Relationship With Oberyn Martell

After the arrival of Criston in the series House of Dragon, people resemble the character of Game of Thrones, Oberyn Martell. They see the connection between Cole and Oberyn. Both of the warriors have olive skin and dark-brown waves. 

Cole and Oberyn are professional swordsmen and have the same descent. Criston was born to a offical of Lord Dondarrion. The character is from Dornish Marches, and they are the enemies of Drone. 

In the series Game of Thrones, Prince Oberyn Martell's birthplace is Drone. Dorne is ethically and culturally different from the rest of Westeros. The character appeared in season four of Game of Thrones as a representative of House Martell. He attained the wedding ceremony of King Joffrey Baratheon to Margaery Tyrell.

Previously, followers were concerned about the relationship between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daenerys. The daughter of King Aerys II and Queen Rhaella is the faraway niece of the princess. 

Criston Cole Parents From Blackhaven'

Criston was born to parents in Blackhaven. His father was the steward at his birthplace. Also, he was a part of House Cole and provided service to House Dondarrion. The character emerges in the Heir's Tournament in season one of House of the Dragon. 

Criston fights with Kingt of House Tarly and defects him. Later he fought with Lord Boremund and Ser Boros Baratheon and knocked them out. Afterward, the warrior faced Prince Daemon Targaryen in the contest. 

In the tournament, they had multiple fights which had evenly matched titles. Later, Criston unhorsed the prince, and Daemon demanded a contest of arms on foot. After the victory in the match with Daemon, Criston asked for the daughter and only child of King Viserys I and Aemma Arryn, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen's favor.

Rhaenyra threw her laurel wreath and wished him luck. After the tourney, Cristin was the title to the king's guard six months after Rahenyra praised him. Afterward, the character traveled to Dragonstone in Prince Daemon's castle where the princess handles the situation pretty well.

On December 8, 2020, Cole disclosed the recurring role in House of the Dragon. Fabien Frankel singed the role of Criston on April 15, 2021.

Cole is one of the greatest living warrior in Westeros. Even many girls at Court discovered him as a handsome and charming boy. Although the book has never mentioned his Dornish ancestry, he is from Dornish Marches border between Stormlands, Reach, and Drone. 

The character was first seen in The Heirs of the Dragon and appeared in three episodes of House of Dragon season one. He is part of Allegiance House Cole and Kingsguard.
