Thanks to Ajla Tomljanovic, for the first time in almost 40 years, Australia has a quarterfinalist in both the women's and men's competitions at the US Open.

Two days after stunningly ending Serena Williams' illustrious career, Tomljanovic ended Liudmila Samsonova's 13-match, 18-set winning streak with a tough 7-6 (10-8) 6-1 comeback. At Louis Armstrong Stadium, Tomljanovic once again showed tremendous mental toughness, just as she did in her unlikely victory over Williams.

Tennis greats Mark Petchey and Wally Masur comment after this win that Ajla Tomljanovic is in the finest shape of her career and has what it takes to win a grand slam.

Prior to 2014, Tomljanovi represented her native Croatia on the field. After attaining permanent status in Australia, she started representing Australia in matches at the 2014 US Open.

She had to represent Croatia at all non-Grand Slam competitions for the following four years, up until she was granted Australian citizenship in January 2018, and was able to do so at all WTA Tour competitions.

At the age of six, she started playing tennis, and at the age of 13, she relocated to Florida to begin her training. Coached by Fernando Martnez and Rene Gomez, the player also enjoys basketball.

K-Swiss and Nike sponsored the 28-year-old native of Croatia through 2021. She stood out during the Miami Open in 2019 with the apparel provided by the brand that year.

But she later discovered "Pete," a penguin, who is now her new friend on the court. Being a part of the American Classic thrilled her. Recently, Serena Williams got tribute by Nike after she lost to Tomljanovic in US Open.

Ajla Tomljanovic Earnings And Salary From Brand Endorsements

With her recent performance on the tennis court, Ajla's brand value has skyrocketed. She is expected to be approached by bigger companies for endorsement and sponsorship. She was already the favorite in the market, but things changed over after she beat the iconic Serena Williams.

It is typical for pro players to make between $100k and $1 million per year, given that they will likely have some lower-level endorsement deals, be a few rounds at the grand slams routinely, and win numerous titles over their careers.

As Tomljanovic falls under the category of A-level player now, she is certainly earning over a million per year. Previously, her sponsors, Nike and Wilson, paid her around 600k-800k per year. With each year, she is raising her brand value.

The ethos of the brand perfectly represents her personality. Hence she was looking forward to competing on a global platform, knowing that Original Penguin's contemporary fit, stylish designs, and performance materials would enable her to succeed greatly both on and off the court.

Ajla Tomljanovic's Net Worth In 2022

A male tennis player who was ranked one to one thousand in the world made an average salary of $185,106.59 in 2021.

Due to extreme values at either end of the pay spectrum, including world number one Djokovic's $9,100,547 salary and world number 1000 Michal Mikula's $4,273 salary, the average is misleading. Therefore, at $22,362, the median is a more realistic approximation.

There are only 550 female players in the WTA who received prize money in 2021. Thus, the comparison isn't exactly accurate. A WTA player made a median salary of $75,888 and an average of $254,394.55 each year.

Ajla receives an annual income of about $396,555 USD. The professional WTA player is expected to have a net worth of around $50 million USD.

The dress had spandex underneath for wearability and breathability, and it came to around mid-thigh. The dress had a tank top cut and flared out from her waist. Her visor matched her dress's printed hue and was also an Original Penguin, bringing the two together.

There are still a few women's matches to be played, so it won't be long until the US Open champions are announced. Ons Jabeur and Ajla Tomljanovic's quarterfinal round game is scheduled on Tuesday.

As the latter is all set to face Ons Jabeur in the quarterfinals, the same attire is still the talk of the town. Her opponent has opted for a classic short-sleeved top and shorts and is representing Lotto. The brand proudly promotes itself using the tennis star.
