One of the most popular eateries, Chipotle, suddenly announced on their website that their well-loved dish, Pollo Asado will not be served anymore. Fans now are not able to stay calm.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., also known as Chipotle, is an American chain of fast-casual restaurants with locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and France. It is noted for its made-to-order bowls, tacos, and Mission burritos.

Why Is Chipotle Leaving The Pollo Asado Off The Menu?

On the 10th August, Chipotle Mexican Grill revealed that it would introduce Pollo Asado as its newest seasonal menu item in the United States and Canada.

Since the company's inception, Chipotle has never offered another chicken alternative. The least expensive meat on the menu and the most popular protein choice is the company's current adobo chicken.

Grilled chicken, garlic, fresh lime, guajillo peppers, and hand-chopped cilantro are the main ingredients in Pollo Asado, and it is the absolute favorite of the majority of the United States.

However, now it is said that the company no longer includes the most talked about dish on the menu. They are leaving it off. This has now created a new rage on Twitter, with people having different opinions on it. 

A loyal consumer tweets, "WHYYYY is @ChipotleTweets getting rid of their pollo asado?! It’s the best thing on their menu…" with a screenshot of the app that says it was the last time to enjoy the particular dish. 

Another one says, "chipotle I'm telling you right now, LEAVE POLLO ASADO ON THE MENU IM BEGGING" 

Just after they announced that the dish would be included, it had managed to turn into the most popular one on the menu. Who thought, fans would get to enjoy it only for a short period of time. 

Chipotle New Menu and Possible Replacements

Something is definitely wrong in the management of Chiptole. After its rather bizarre decision of giving up their most famous food item, now their website is also not working properly. Now it is very suspicious for regular eaters. 

In the US, the average cost of an entree with Pollo Asado was $9.11, which is 65 cents more expensive than the regular chicken choice.


Beginning in November, the burrito company tested the Pollo Asado at dozens of locations in Sacramento and Cincinnati. According to Chipotle, sales and customer comments for the test were comparable to those for the chain's smoked brisket, one of its most popular recent additions to the menu. The company's larger menu concept included the introduction of smoked brisket and Pollo Asado.

Now that they have suddenly thrown atom bombs at their customers, it is believed that this one is some kind of publicity game. Most of the Twitteratts are trying to console themselves by saying that the item will be back. However, there is another group of people who do this because of low nutritional value and not living up to the national food standards. Nonetheless, none of it can be confirmed.
