Who was Jessica Nelson’s killer?

Before being apprehended by law enforcement, Matthew Kidder murdered his family friend Nelson and even made it to her burial. Nelson’s body was discovered partially immersed, naked, and with the water running in the bathtub when Nelson’s mother went to check on her daughter.

She was in the fetal position with a cell phone charging cord in one hand. Blood was all over Nelson’s head. She also had bruises and abrasions on her neck, blood in her eyes, and a strangulation mark on her neck that resembled a cell phone wire. That smartphone cord strangled the victim to death. There was also evidence that the murderer had harassed Nelson sexually.
