What Is Wrong With Pam Ayres' Teeth?

Pam Ayres's experiences with her teeth are the subject of her poem, "Oh, I Wish I’d Looked After Me Teeth." It's written with humor in mind. When she looks back, she is sorry that she did not take proper care of her teeth.

She remembers the different sweet and sticky toffees she had eaten in the past, which led to the current rotting in her teeth. She now regrets not resisting the urge to spend her money on sweets and paying more attention to the potential harm they could have done to her teeth. When she thinks back on all the sweet treats, she had had, such as lollipops, sweets, and peanut brittle, she feels incredibly bad.

Catering to little kids, she asks the young minds to take care of their teeth when they have time.
