Eric Reynolds had a promising future in football. He had dreams of getting drafted into the NFL, but a drug addiction became a cause for his downfall.

However, his younger brother, Craig Reynolds, carried Eric's dream forward. Despite the difficult path, he was determined to fulfill the dream that his older siblings could not do. 

Who Is Eric Reynolds?

Eric Reynolds is the older brother of Craig Reynolds. He was a former high school standout on the Central Bucks South High School's football team.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back was selected The Inquirer's Southeastern Pennsylvania player of the year after rushing for 2,830 yards as

a senior.
Throughout 12 games, he totaled 3,108 yards of offense and 38 touchdowns. He could grab passes out of the backfield, run a 40-yard dash in 4.40 seconds, and even return kickoffs.

As a senior, he threw 10.9 yards per carrying while rushing for 34 touchdowns, throwing a touchdown pass, two catches for touchdowns, and returning a kick for another score. During his senior year, he scored a touchdown run of at least 40 yards in each game.

His father realized his son's talent when the college recruiters visited their home to convince him to finish his studies with them. They had told them that he had the chance of getting picked in the NFL draft as well. 

In December 2007, a few weeks after his final high school game, he signed a letter of intent and pledged his commitment to Boston College during his senior year. His future seemed bright, and he aimed to play in the NFL.

After graduating high school, he switched his college preference from Boston College to Temple a month later. He intended to pursue his NFL dreams while attending a college close to home.

However, that dream started to disappear a month later when he got arrested for harassment charges in 2008. That was the beginning of his downfall and the end of his NFL dreams.

During an interview with Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Craig Reynolds shared the struggles and perseverance that led him to where he is today, reports Pride of Detorit. He said that it was possibly the downfall of his brother that made him determined to improve himself and his life. 

He shared how his older brother Eric Reynolds, destined for the NFL, lost his way and developed a drug addiction. 

He is still in prison today. Reynolds said that his sibling has been in jail since he was in middle school.

Despite having little time together, the two communicate through video calls. The athlete always calls Eric before his game. He wishes to have his brother cheer for him from the stands with their family. 

Reynolds started playing football because of Eric. He worked hard to get into the NFL and has made great progress.

Eric Reynolds Drug Charges- Is He In Jail?

Eric Reynolds is in jail. He lost his way when he involved himself in drugs. The athlete said his brother has the chance of getting released from prison later this year. 

He was first detained in Warwick in August 2008, where he pleaded guilty to the harassing charges and was given a probationary period. He admitted guilt to counts of armed robbery in 2010 after police claimed he robbed two ladies in front of an Upper Moreland Walmart.

Before his arrest in October 2015, he had served time in jail for allegedly car-jacked a 65-year-old man in Warminster. He entered a guilty plea and discussed the drug addiction that caused his downfall.

He is still being held in Somerset County's state prison. He received a sentence of five to fifteen years in 2016. Before his younger brother graduated from high school, he spent time in and out of jail.
