Lori Mcclintock's death cause was released almost six months after her demise. However, several news sources published the findings mentioned in her autopsy report. 

She is believed to have died after consuming a dietary supplement that contains white mulberry leaf. The findings have caused some uproar on the internet regarding the growing industry of these supplements in the U.S. 

Lori Mcclintock Death Cause Revealed In Autopsy Report

Lori Mcclintock, the wife of Tom McClintock, a Republican, was discovered unresponsive at their Elk Grove, California, home on December 15, 2021. As per CBS news, he had just returned from Washington, D.C., where he had spent the previous night voting in Congress.

Later, an autopsy report showed that a plant widely regarded as safe and used as a herbal cure for various illnesses, including diabetes, obesity, and high cholesterol, caused her death. 

Lori passed away from dehydration due to gastroenteritis, an infection of the stomach and intestines caused by "adverse effects of ingestion of white mulberry leaf."Besides, she had complained about having problems with her stomach a day before her demise. 

The coroner's office ruled her death as an accident, and her cause of death on the certificate was listed as 'pending.' Although the autopsy reports were available beforehand, they did not publicly reveal the details immediately.

The report said a "mostly intact" white mulberry leaf was discovered in the deceased's stomach. However, whether she consumed fresh, dried, or partially intact white mulberry leaves or drank tea made with them is unknown.

She is buried at East Lawn Cemetery of Elk Grove, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd, as mentioned in East Lawn.
