Uma Pemmaraju, the ex-wife of businessman Andrew Jay Petkun, died at age 64. 

Pemmaraju was an Indian-American Journalist and television host. She was the original host of the television channel Fox News at its 1996 premiere. Also, the journalist was the host of America's News Headquarters w/Uma Pemmaraju in New York for Fox News. 

Previously, Pemmaraju reported for the international news agency Bloomberg News. She received honors throughout her career: the Texas AP Award as a journalist, the Big Sisters Organization of the United States honor with The Woman of Achievement Award, and the Matrix Award from Women in Communications. 

As a part of an interaction program with Trinity University, she attended American University for one year studying international relations.

Who Was Uma Pemmaraju Husband?

Pemmaraju was married once to her husband, Andrew Jay Petkun. She was single for the duration of her last period of life. The pair married in 1993 and decided to live their separate ways after several years.

Pemmaraju died on August 8, 2022, but the cause of her death is forthcoming. There is no report about her illness and hospitalization so she may die for natural reasons. 

Pemmaraju started her carrer on a television platform in her home state of Texas. She began reporting at television station KENS in San Antonio and San Antonio Express-News. She was studying at Trinity University and handling her work as a producer and reporter.

During Pemmaraju's college days, she served as the editor of their newspaper. Later, she moved as a news anchor and correspondent broadcasting CBS programming KTVT in Dallas. Afterward, she became part of the television station WMAR-TV in Baltimore, where she received an extensive range of awards Emmy Award.

Pemmaraju was born to her supportive family in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, on March 31, 1958. She demise at age 64 this August. Although Uma's hometown is in India, she had raised by her parents in San Antonio, Texas, United States. 

Moreover, Pemmaraju completed her bachelors of arts degree from Trinity University in Political Science. She started her work while studying and moved to a different television station. The journalist worked as a correspondent and a tipster/producer for WLVI and WBZ-TV.

Pemmaraju appeared in the WBZ's Evening Magazine after moving from Baltimore to Boston. When the television network launched in October 1996, she was a member of the original Fox News team. The report hosted several news shows on Fox News and anchored several specials.
