Leslie Griffith, a longtime news anchor for the Bay Area, has died. Leslie Griffith, according to her family, had "Lyme Disease" ever since she was bitten by a tick in Oregon in 2015. The age of Leslie Griffith was 66.

Leslie Griffith, whose full name was Leslie Ray Griffith, was a writer and journalist who started her career working for newspapers, including the Associated Press and The Denver Post.

She died on August 10, 2022. She worked as a television journalist for the following 25 years, including as a news anchor at KTVU.

Griffith served as the primary anchor and general assignment reporter for the Original Ten O'clock News on KTVU in the San Francisco Bay Area for 22 years.

Leslie Griffith, a well-known journalist who served as the anchor for KTVU Channel 2 News for more than 20 years, has passed away. Griffith passed away in Lake Chapala, Mexico, on Wednesday.

Griffith worked as a courageous reporter before moving behind the anchor desk, gathering information and penning the articles that gave her such a commanding presence during live broadcasts.

In what can be a chaotic environment when a big story breaks, Griffith became a real expert in breaking news and became master of the three-ring circus.

She skillfully switched between sources without a script in hand, grilling newsmakers, experts, and other journalists with pointed questions.

Every time a reporter received fresh material or a new interviewee, she would go to them right once to give the audience the most recent details.

Leslie Griffith had Lyme disease since being bitten by a tick in Oregon in 2015, a family member told KTVU, but it's not known whether the condition had a role in her passing.

She fought to remove elephants from circuses because she was so concerned about the tuberculosis issue affecting them. She established the Leslie R. Griffith Woman of Courage Scholarship in 2005 to support young girls.

She continued to write often for publications like the Huffington Post and San Francisco Chronicle. Griffith was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2015 after being bitten by a tick while residing in Oregon, according to a family member.

According to a family member, she had a property in Mexico and had been residing there since 2016.

To assist young women, she established the Leslie R. Griffith Woman of Courage Scholarship in 2005.
