Lynda Jean Cordova Carter is best known for playing Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, in the superhero television series Wonder Woman.

Lynda is an actress, singer, and beauty pageant title holder. After winning the Arizona beauty contest, she went to compete for Miss World USA. She won the Miss World USA title in 1972 and reached the top 15 at the Miss World pageant.

She went to a rehabilitation center to recover from alcoholism. She became sober after the treatment and has recovered from the addiction. 

It became difficult for the model after losing her father, Colby Carter, and her husband, Robert Alan Altman.

Altman was a lawyer and a business executive from Washington D.C. He was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with myelofibrosis which took his life. He died on February 3, 2021, at the age of 73.

Lynda and Robert share two children named James and Jessica.
